House of Cool's artist Claire Hewitt began with making a range of broken china jewellery, exploring colour and shape in sometimes quirky designs.

Now working with a variety of materials, she is inspired and excited by the nature of the materials themselves - does it crack? does it bend? does it melt? does it twist? What else can you do with it...?
