About Us!

Annika was born in Belgium, of a Swedish mother and Norwegian father, and spent every summer of her childhood returning to these countries to visit relatives. Inspired by the crisp bold lines of these landscapes and the diversity of modern and traditional designs there, Annika draws strongly on her scandinavian roots for inspiration. A modern Stockholm based apprenticeship followed by a top Degree in 3D Design, specialising in Jewellery and Silversmithing, has moulded Annika's distinctive style, whilst giving her an amazing array of skills from sinking to setting.
Before striking out on her own Annika gained valuable experience within the trade, working first for a bullion dealers in Hatton Garden, and then for contemporary jewellers Jess James in London. She has since collaborated with, and continues to work with, many Independant jewellery shops around the UK catering for their special commissions requirements.

Annika’s passion for jewellery means that she is continually broadening her skills. In her quest to improve the breadth and quality of service on offer she regularly works on increasing her skill set which now also includes CAD. Consequently we now also have the ability to produce lifelike renders and 3D images for customers to view when commissioning more complex designs.

We basically love what we do!

- It’s creative, we have fun, we get to manipulate metal and get dirty.
We listen to loud, varied music and enjoy ourselves, but above all we are enthused about our jewellery and dedicated to excellent standards. We concentrate on providing beautiful pieces to a very high level of craftsmanship, complimented by very personal friendly service.
We are committed to expanding our knowledge and capabilities, relishing a challenge and embracing new possibilities.

Handmade in Britain

Pretty much all the work is done by our dedicated team in our own workshops.

The exceptions; the casting is done externally (in Birmingham), machine made chain such as snake chain (as opposed to the hand made pieces) is bought in, and the pave setting, which is exquisitely done by our amazingly talented and local good friend Phil Parks, who does work for many other top jewellers including Stephen Webster and Elisabeth Gauge.

Handmade in house we can guarantee that a great deal of love and care has been individually lavished on your piece during its skilled fabrication, and the quality and finish is therefore far superior to mass produced jewellery. Believe me the quality shines through!
This also means we can make any requested adaptations or personalisation’s as required.

We offer a bespoke design service and love playing with new ideas and directions.
Our Matrix Computer Aided Design system allows Annika to create amazing 3D renders and images for clients to view, ensuring clarity throughout the commission process.
We are happy for you to use images of other jewellery to give us a direction and feel for your taste but will not replicate or copy anyone else’s designs – not only is this illegal and unethical, but also so unnecessary. There is so much to be inspired by in this world and such a wealth of ideas and talent in our workshop.

Work is manufactured in sterling silver, 18 carat gold and platinum.
Diamonds used are of VS1 quality G colour unless otherwise requested or stated.
All diamonds used are purchased from legitimate sources, not involved in funding conflict - in compliance with the United Nations Resolutions. We hereby guarantee that the diamonds we use are conflict free, based on personal knowledge and/or written guarantees provided by the supplier of the rough diamonds.

Our latest passion is to improve our ethical sourcing, and we are making great inroads into changing to ‘green’ materials, converting to recycled silver, fair trade green gold and fair trade diamonds and gem stones. Check out our Ethical Policy for greater details.

Ordering & How to use this site

The site can be browsed either by using the category boxes on the left or by typing in your request in the ‘search’ box top right.

When you find an item that you like, you can find out more details and further images by clicking on that item.

You can also zoom in for a closer look at the jewellery should you wish.

Make the appropriate selection for material, chain length etc by using the drop down menu.

The relevant price will then be displayed

You can also choose to save the item to your wish list, send to a friend or compare several items using the buttons as indicated.

Please read the product description carefully and ensure that you have chosen the correct size, material(s) and finish etc.

Should you wish to purchase you will be guided through the process of placing an order by a series of simple instructions on the Site, or you can follow the instructions below:

press ADD To CART to start the purchase process.

You can review and change the items in your shopping cart at any time and will be asked to confirm or correct your order prior to completing the purchase.

Select CHECKOUT once you are ready to finalize the transaction and make payment.

All prices and payments are in pounds sterling.

All prices indicated for products are exclusive of delivery charges. The total cost of your order is the price of the products ordered and delivery charges as set out in the DELIVERY section of the site

You will receive a confirmation email from us detailing your order. Please check that all details are correct and contact us immediately if there are any necessary alterations or adjustments to the order.

Please ensure you order your correct ring size as all rings are made to order and are therefore non returnable unless faulty, damaged or not as described. Don’t panic - If you make an error generally resizing is possible but will be subject to an extra charge. Obviously if you manage to catch the mistake or let us know of any changes to the order pre manufacture of the piece this charge will not be applied. Please note some ring styles are not resizeable.

It is a good idea to measure the finger at the end of the day, when the finger is at its largest, and not to do it when the finger is cold, as this will make it unusually small. Bear in mind that finger sizes change throughout the day. Please also note that if you are ordering a very wide ring you may need a bigger size as it will cover a larger area of your finger. Please note it is your responsibility to measure your fingers correctly and provide us with the correct size to work to and we cannot be held responsible if you get your size incorrect.. Most jewellers will be happy to measure your finger for you (please inform us whether the sizing has been done to ‘leading edge’ or ‘centre’, or alternatively we will gladly send you a free ring sizer on request

If you are buying a ring as a surprise, you could obviously ask a friend of your partner’s for his/her ring size or take one of their current rings to a jewellers for sizing.

Failing this option the ring can be slid down a tapered candle or down your finger, then the circumference of the candle or the point of your finger measured.

We can convert a circumference measurement, American sizes, European ring sizes and Japanese ring sizes to the correct British ring size for you or alternatively you can use the conversion chart listed on our information page.

A binding contract is formed once your order has been accepted by us and once we have authorisation from your payment card issuer.

If you prefer you can order by phone on 01273 583485

Or by email: info@annikarutlin.com

Please state the item code, size, description and finish as accurately as possible, and have your card details ready for payment. We are more than happy to assist you with your choice of item and provide you with any help we can.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order.

Bespoke Orders

We have an excellent reputation for bespoke design and can use a computer aided design process to render images of more complex commissions for you to see during the bespoke design process.

Once the details of your design have been agreed and verified we will send you a written confirmation of this, with an estimated delivery time, and we request that you send a reply email declaring acceptance of the design and terms of the special order. Once the non refundable, 50% minimum, deposit payment has been received, the order will be processed.

Full payment will be requested once the piece has been completed and the jewellery sent out once this payment has cleared. All designs are protected by copyright. All rights reserved.

Recycling and Rejuvination Terms & Disclaimer

We applaud recycling wherever possible and would encourage you to breath new life into old metals and stones. At the same time we cannot take responsibility for materials not supplied by ourselves and whose provenance is unknown to us. As we cannot guarantee their quality or properties, all customer stones are set at their own risk and we do not accept responsibility for any damage that may occur during the manufacture process.

We guarantee to use the actual stones sent to us, but take no responsibility for their authenticity or integrity. Set diamonds will be tested pre removal from their mounts.

Any metals sent to us will be tested and the customer informed of their type and worth. Again, we will not accept liability should a metal not turn out to be as the customer believed, for example a rhodium plated silver ring may initially look like Platinum (though its weight will differ significantly), but it is still only a silver ring and valued accordingly.

Goods damaged or lost in transit

We will email you to inform you of the dispatch of your order together with the registered parcel number. You will then be able to track and trace your parcel via the Royal Mail website; www.royalmail.com,

or by phone; 08459 272 100 quoting your reference number

If your goods were damaged or lost by Royal Mail, a claim will need to be made before we can issue a refund.

Royal Mail will not declare any parcel officially lost until 14 days have passed and so any lost parcel claim cannot be processed until this time period has elapsed. Please contact us if you are at all worried that your parcel may be missing and we will follow up on it for you.

We will endeavour to send a replacement item asap if requested, but will have to charge for it in full. Once the Royal Mail Compensation claim has gone through you will then be reimbursed in full, providing the claim has been successful.
