Eternity Beads

The creators of the original 'Eternity Bead' ashes infused glass memorials - a family run business motivated to helping others experiencing loss. We can preserve the ashes of any loved one in our wonderful glass memorial pendants. We can also preserve the earth soil or sand from a favourite walk or a special place. These beads also make gorgeous mementos, encasing for example the sand or soil from a special holiday, a wedding or honeymoon. Handcrafted glass ashes bead or bar on an 18" inch solid Sterling 925 Silver curb chain necklace for you to keep your keepsake or memorial close to your heart. The keyrings are perfect for non-jewellery wearers and, like the necklaces, come in a choice of glass bead or bar and a stunning range of colours.

Memories are preserved forever in our high quality glass jewellery and keepsake creations.

Precision, care and respect goes into the creation of each glass memorial at the Glass Butterfly Studio in the UK. Each handcrafted quality glass bead is made using a skilled process called lampworking which uses a high temperature torch to melt glass at over a thousand degrees Celsius. The beads are then cooled overnight in a special kiln which toughens the beads making them incredibly strong and durable. Choose from a round eternity bead (20mm diameter), a small cylinder eternity bar (20mm long x 15mm diameter) or a large cylinder eternity bar (40mm long x 15mm diameter). There is also a wide range of stunning colours to choose from.

Crafting time is approx. 2 weeks from receipt the ashes at the studio.

For every bead sold, a £2.50 donation is given by the makers to the NCTLC Trust charity - a children's cancer charity dedicated to supporting families living with tumors, leukemia and other cancers. www.NCTLCtrust.com

The Ashes

Your loved ones ashes are treated with the utmost respect throughout the making of your Eternity Bead. The ashes are kept at our 'Glass Butterfly Studio' where the beads are processed.

We are a family run business and only have one bead maker, Cheryl Winterflood.

Each order is handled separately. The ashes along with the customer's details are sealed in a zip-lock folder so they are not contaminated by other orders.

When purchasing customers must understand that due to the nature of the craft involved variations will occur in size, shape, colour and pattern. Images and sizes provided are for guidance only but will be adhered to as closely as possible.

The signing of the order form is a commitment to the details contained within. We do not take responsibility for any errors once a form is signed.

Small air bubbles may occur during the making of the bead. This is due to a reaction with the ashes being added to the hot glass. This does not affect the strength of the bead.

Ashes being sent to us still remain the responsibility of the sender. A stamped addressed envelope is provided in the bead pack.

The Shift in Global Marketplaces

What's been quietly lost in the rush to scale.

Loss of Originality

Large online marketplaces have shifted toward mass-produced, generic, factory-line products, making it difficult to find unique, handmade items.

Quality Concerns

Relaxed verification standards on major platforms have led to issues with material integrity, such as fake silver, cheap base metals, and chipping platings.

Jewellery is shaped by hand rather than factory molds, resulting in unique pieces with individual character.

  • 03

    Direct Connection

Customers buy directly from independent British workshops. They can communicate with designers or use the "Commission a Designer" feature for bespoke pieces.

  • 04
