Unique designs in precious metals and gemstones. Using design elements from detailed observational drawings, flat sheets of metal and lengths of wire are transformed, into beautiful wearable art inspired by the textures, shapes and curves found in nature.
Looking to escape the world of finance, and to return to my passion for creating art, I finally found my "calling" a few years ago. I was offered the chance to retrain with Nik Stanbury and Julie Moss at York School of Jewellery, and I am currently based at the school in York.
Working with precious metals and gemstones, I love the process of bringing my ideas to life. Using traditional skills I transform flat sheets of metal into beautiful and wearable art.
I live in a rural village near York, and inspiration comes from my fascination for nature, for the textures, shapes and curves found all around.
My jewellery is designed using elements from one of my observational drawings, creating unique "one off" pieces.
I also enjoy collaborating with clients on commissions, transforming ideas from imagination - to sketchbook - to reality.
I use a careful selection of precious metals, including sterling through to fine (pure) silver, 18 and 22 carat gold, together with precious and semi-precious gemstones.
