Sue Hailstones is a hugely respected and award-winning artist, with an inspirational and passionate approach to the art of jewellery design. Each unique and individual creation is inspired by the history and timeless beauty of Ancient Britain and her key areas of inspiration are landscapes and seascapes.

Sue has already created a number of wonderful collections which were all inspired from places she has have lived or visited. She spent many years in Cornwall, which is an area of outstanding natural beauty that has inspired artists throughout the ages.

Being the progeny of an artistic family, it was only a matter of time before Sue found an outlet for her creativity. Sue now lives in Staffordshire in the heart of England, near to the majestic Peak District with its majestic scenery and gorgeous rolling hills.

Sue often begins a project by picturing herself in a specific place in history and letting the elements of that time and landscape inspire her. She always begins the creation, with a series of pencil sketches, developing her ideas on paper before creating one glass jewel that encapsulates the essence of the collection.

She then explores the tones and textures of that design, creating complementary jewels that form the complete collection. So, whilst they are all based on the same theme, each one is totally unique, so no two pieces of jewellery will ever be the same.

That is why each creation is as individual as the person wearing it.

WARRANTY

Our Warranty Period is six months from the date of purchase and we will repair or replace any item that proves defective, under normal use and care at no charge.

EXCHANGES

If you wish to exchange your item, the original purchase should be returned in perfect condition in its original packaging within 14 days of purchase. For hygiene reasons, earrings can only be returned if unworn. Please use a secure, traceable method to return them and insure the item, as we will not be responsible for loss in transit.

WEAR AND TEAR

We make every effort to ensure our jewellery is durable and comfortable to wear as well as stunning to look at. But you should avoid wearing your jewellery when participating in sports, sleeping or swimming and avoid contact with creams, perfume and make-up. Avoid solvents, bleaches, household chemicals and cleaning product as they can tarnish silver. Please also note that some skin types can make the silver go black – this is not harmful, purely surface discolouration that can easily be removed with a clean soft cloth.

CARE

Ensure that your jewellery is kept clean and free from creams, lotions, oils, perfumes and make-up. When not wearing, store your jewellery separately so that it doesn’t get scratched or tangled. We recommend storing your jewellery in its original packaging. Please note that all silver jewellery will naturally tarnish over time.

SIZING OR REPAIRING

Please ensure you buy the correct size ring, as once one of our jewels is fixed to a ring it cannot be resized. In some circumstance broken jewels can be repaired at a cost, but this has to be assessed on an individual basis and you should contact us direct.

Delivery to all UK addresses is FREE of charge, however delivery and import duties to all non UK countries are chargeable. Please see individual product pages for delivery prices.
