My name is Julie Coffey and I design and handcraft unique sterling silver and gold jewellery in my workshop on the beautiful coast of the Wirral peninsula. My work is hallmarked at the Assay office Birmingham, so you can be assured that you are buying a quality piece of jewellery.

It's important to me that my customers feel they are wearing something designed and crafted exclusively for them because jewellery is such an individual thing, reflecting our personality and acting as a token of significant times in our lives.

I am self-taught and constantly learning new techniques to enable me to bring my ideas to life. My jewellery is crafted in sterling silver and gold, although more recently I have used copper in my designs too; I find the contrast of these precious metals makes for striking items to wear and love. I focus on precious and semi-precious stones in my work; never tiring of the rainbow of colours and textures these natural materials offer.

The inspiration for my designs comes from the world around us; whether vibrant flowers, calming seas, or the structure and shapes from architecture, which can all form the basis for a new piece or idea. By experimenting with these concepts, even pieces that don't go exactly to plan often result in new and exciting jewellery styles.

While I hope you will find something to treasure in my collection, please do feel free to get in touch if you would like to commission a bespoke piece.

What is 'Demi-Fine Jewellery? Yet another made up buzz phrase but, what the heck, let's run with it as this is what jewellery on Odissa is all about! :-) Demi-Fine jewellery is the mid point between costume jewellery and fine jewellery. It takes elements from both and allows more affordable price points to the upper end fine jewellery level by using lower priced materials such as plated Silver, lower carats of gold, Platinum and Palladium, mixing different metals, precious and non precious, Sapphires, lab created diamonds etc ...
