Welcome to Marks Vulcan ring collection, designed for Men and Ladies using platinum, palladium, silver, white gold or rose gold.
Each ring in this collection is individually handmade, and this process makes every ring truly unique and has been very popular
for wedding couples.
This range is Inspired by Vulcan, the god of fire including the fire of volcanoes, metalworking, and the forge in ancient Roman religion and myth.
Mark also restores, repairs, remodels and re-makes jewellery, hand makes wedding rings to order and has been commissioned to make many items of jewellery and even some objects of art as you will see in the creative projects gallery.
At the age of 17 he was lucky enough to get an apprenticeship in his local jewellers. He spent the
next 15 years working for numerous jewellers, until deciding to open up his own jewellery shop called The Gold
Workshop. This shop opened first as a jewellery repair workshop, which slowly over the years developed into a full retail shop Mobeus which recently relocated and is now currently named Mark Loyd Master Goldsmith.
Mark Lloyd is a Fellow of The Institute of Professional Goldsmiths (FIPG) an organisation that promotes and supports craftspeople of the highest calibre, who produce only the finest workmanship.
He creates the jewellery in his own way. Through techniques, he has learned as a goldsmith for over 26 years.
“I personally hope you like the Vulcan range on Odissa and find my work interesting.”
It’s always good to hear from people. If you have any queries or questions please let me know. I will get back to you as quickly as I can”. Mark Lloyd FIPG
Mandascat was created by Amanda Jayne White, a Hartlepool artist and teacher known to Mark since school days… many moons ago.
They recently decided to collaborate and use mandascat designs on silver bangles and pendants, only available to buy through Mark Lloyd and Amanda. These designs are uniquely creations, developed to work on jewellery. The designs are deep laser engraved by state of the art machinery and hand shaped and finished by Mark.
Each piece is made from 925 sterling silver solid sheet, deep laser engraved and then formed into bangles or pendants. Every item is hallmarked at Goldsmiths Hall London Assay Office and branded with Mandascat and Mark’s ML maker’s stamp for authenticity. These are not cast and copied. They are individually made by Hartlepool artisans.
“This is a collection close to my heart. It’s important to me to support local artists and to keep craft skills alive. Also, Amanda offers a service to draw your own pet and turn it into mandascat art. Please contact me or Amanda to discuss.” Mark Lloyd
