ABOUT KYANITE

Kyanite takes its name from the Greek word "kyanos", meaning "deep blue", although it also forms in other colours. Most kyanite stones have areas of light to dark color shading, as well as white streaks or patches.

Kyanite is said to help with communication and self expression. It is also traditionally a stone taken on journeys by travellers as it is said to have been used in ancient times as a compass needle by suspending a stone from a human hair!

CARE FOR KYANITE:

Although fairly durable, when compared to other gemstones Kyanite is somewhat fragile and can fracture if struck hard or dropped.

Avoid the use of harsh chemicals and clean only using water and a mild soap. You can wipe the stones with a soft cloth and then rinse well to remove any soapy residue.

Always remove your kyanite jewellery before exercising, bathing, showering, etc and store in a jewellery box
