Dirk Handle Twist Earrings - 14K Yellow Gold

This knot design was usually found braided into the handle of a Dirk - a traditional and ceremonial knife of the Highland Cathairean (cateran or warrior). The strands of the knot weave in and out of each other, forming a protective pattern.

We've actually gone one step further with these earrings by taking the pattern and twisting it again, making a set of beautiful, twirling, sculptures in 14 karat gold.
