I love working with Sterling Silver (925), it's such a forgiving material. It can be shaped, worked, and pushed as far as you are willing to take it.

When I use forging techniques to shape and form the silver, I like the way the surface retains the evidence of the marks inflicted on it. I may add 24ct Gold foil accents to the pieces (Keum Boo), gold nuggets, precious and semi-precious gemstones or unusual cabochons.

My designs are usually one-off. It is impossible to fully replicate a hand forged piece as there will be differences due to the characteristics of metal and stones.

These subtle differences are to be celebrated as the mark of a handmade piece made specially for you.

I am always looking into different ways of working with silver, and I am particularly interested in hollow forms at the moment. New designs will eventually find their way into my shop, so please keep looking.
