This elegant beaded quatrefoil matinee necklace part of the Integrity collection.

The Integrity collection focuses on the shape of a square and its symbolism.

Here I have played with combinations of squares : classic ones in black onyx with diamond-shape ones in silver.

Those diamond-shape ones are made of 4 interconnected circles, and look like simplified flowers or rounded equal sided crosses.

They take their name, 'Quatrefoil', from the Old French quatrefoil, where quatre means “four” and foil “leaf”.
 

For this specific necklace - and the matching earrings - I have used a beaded wire, where each bead plays with the light like little droplets, making the necklace subtly glisten.

You will also like the way the necklace moves and flows - I have arranged the little sections of black onyx beads and quatrefoil shapes to give it extra character and presence.

This necklace look best with a high neckline or turtleneck since it tends to draw the eye directly to the bust area .

Materials & their benefits

Handmade to order. In sustainably sourced solid sterling silver and black onyx.

Each little silver circle has been formed, cut, and soldered individually by hand.

The onyx beads have been thread onto silver wire. That way you won't risk stretching the necklace. It also gives the necklace more personality in its movement and flow.

Silver provides a steadying influence. It performs a balancing act by drawing negativity from the body while transferring the positive energies of other minerals.

Black onyx is said to help break through difficult problems, stay focused and mentally strong, overcome negative energy from your surroundings.

It is also the birthstone for the month of January (together with garnet), and the anniversary gemstone for the 10th year of marriage.

\nAs with any piece of jewellery, when you don’t wear them, keep them in a box or pouch, ideally separate from your other jewellery to avoid scratches.

\nSafe to clean at home yourself – simply wash with lukewarm water and mild soap. Leave to soak a couple of minutes. Do not scrub or rub. The dirt will fall off at the bottom of the container. Rinse under clear lukewarn water. Pat dry with a soft clean cloth and leave to dry completely before wearing again, or storing.

\nDo not scrub or rub as this will affect the surface of the metal and of the stones.

\nDo not drop on hard floor surfaces or the stones might break.
\n
\nAvoid putting makeup and other beauty products after putting your jewellery on, as residues will build up in the little recesses, making it more difficult to clean.
