Horsehair pendant in sterling silver with YOUR OWN horses hair captured in resin.

The perfect way to keep a part of your treasured friend close to you or to remember your beloved horse or pony that was once such a huge part of your life.

Only a small amount of mane or tail hair is needed for this pendant - approximately 2.5cm in length and around the thickness of a drinking straw.

Please label your horses hair with your name and shipping address. A small ziplock bag is perfect to send the hair in with either a slip of paper inside or a label on the outside.

I will message you via Etsy Conversations as soon as I receive it and will begin work on your pendant. Processing times for this item are 3-4 weeks from receipt of the hair. It will then be shipped via Royal Mail, first class signed for/tracked delivery. Please see shipping info for estimated shipping times for your country.

Any un-used hair will be returned to you.

More than one horse or pony? No problem, I can put a mix of hair into the pendant. You can either supply me with a ready mixed bundle of hair or send it separately so I can mix it for you in equal amounts.

All horsehair pendants are supplied in gift boxes, perfect for gifting and giving your pendant a safe home for when it isn't being worn.

Caring for your jewellery

• All jewellery is best stored in individual boxes or soft bags. This prevents scratches and also in some cases lessens tarnishing. Silver jewellery will benefit from being kept in a sealed, clear, plastic bag with an anti-tarnish strip enclosed.

• Chlorinated water causes surface damage! It is best to remove all jewellery before using swimming pools, hot tubs, etc.

• Spray hairspray, perfume, etc. before you put on your jewellery as these can also cause damage or, at the very least, leave a residue which will make metals and gemstones appear dull.

• Also avoid contact with domestic cleaning products.

• All silver tarnishes in time despite how it is stored. To clean your pendant, use a silver polishing cloth only – anything else will damage the resin. A regular wipe over the silver with the cloth should keep it looking fab!
