Concave-cut citrine ring, set in sterling silver with bark texture
V352-0002

Citrine is a yellow variety of quartz, related to the perhaps better known purple amethyst. This gem is a great example. The unusual cut really catches the light, giving this gorgeous lemon yellow gemstone a lovely sparkle. It is set in a protective sterling silver setting in this wide ring, with the band textured in a striking bark pattern.
The gemstone measures 8mm diameter, in a setting 9mm wide and 5mm deep. The ring band measures at least 6mm wide, increasing to 12mm at its widest point at the front. The total weigh of the piece is just under 5g. This ring is a one off piece in size P - P1/2. *Please bear in mind that when ordering a wide ring it is most comfortable if you go down a size.
Citrine is the yellow form of quartz, and its colour can vary from a pale yellow (sometimes known as lemon quartz) to a deep orange. It is often produced by heat-treating amethyst, as citrine occurring naturally is not common. Citrine is the birthstone for November. Find out more about citrine and the other forms of quartz here.
