Hand-cut hexagonal sunstone set in 9ct rose gold pendant

This fun little hand-cut hexagonal sunstone pendant is guaranteed to brighten up your day!

\nThe vibrant orange hexagonal sunstone was cut by hand, and has been simply set in order to show the stone at its best. The 9 carat rose gold tones well, making it a bright and lively piece to wear.

\nThe sunstone measures approx 7.5mm diameter, and is almost 6mm deep. The total height of the pendant is 14mm. The chain is an 0.5mm diameter mirror box chain, and is 18 inches (45cm) long. The whole piece weighs just under 3g. It is worth mentioning that due to the style of setting, the pavilion (the pointy part at the back of the gemstone) protrudes a little past the setting, making the pendant more comfortable to wear over clothing.

\nSunstone is a feldspar, and can vary in appearance from a colourless stone with orange and black flecks, to a homogeneous dark yellow or orange colour. It is related to other feldspars such as moonstone or labradorite, but looks quite different to these.
